special weather statement in effect A strong system bringing its share of mixed precipitation will affect the province of Quebec beginning on Wednesday. First, between 5 and 10 centimetres of snow will fall starting overnight Wednesday night. Snow will then change to freezing rain on Thursday and continue for much of the day, making roads and surfaces icy. Temperatures will rise above freezing on Thursday evening and precipitation will change to rain.
