snow squall watch in effect Brief, intense snowfall is expected to develop. Under the snow squall, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow. In addition, following the passage of a cold front, temperatures will fall significantly on Tuesday morning. An arctic air mass will then sweep across the province, causing temperatures to plummet. Combined with strong northwesterly winds, conditions will become bitterly cold over many parts of Quebec. ### Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for brief but intense bursts of heavy snow producing near zero visibilities.
