A polar low will Wednesday afternoon develop in D3, and move southwards. The location of the polar low is still uncertain. Most likely it will reach the coast of Møre and Romsdal and Trøndelag Thursday evening, but it could briefly pass over the coast of Nordland late Thursday afternoon. Along the coast southwest or west severe gale force 9 is expected ahead of the Polar low before veering to northwest storm force 10. Heavy snow showers are expected. Abrupt change in wind speed and wind direction. It can be difficult to navigate due to snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility. Some journeys may have longer travel time. It can be locally difficult driving conditions due to heavy snowfall in combination with wind. The power supply may be impacted. Be aware of abrupt weather changes. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places. Consider whether the journey is necessary. Check road reports (175.no). Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving.
