special weather statement in effect A series of successive storms are expected to impact BC's North Coast this weekend and next week. The first system will continue to bring rain to the north coast tonight, with near 40 mm of rain expected. From Sunday night through Monday and into Tuesday, another system will approach the north coast. There is still uncertainty regarding precise locations and accumulations, but current models are indicating nearly 100 mm of rain in Prince Rupert and amounts in excess of 50 mm for inland areas between Stewart and Kitimat.
