Total snow and ice pellet accumulations: 5 to 15 cm, higher amounts possible in the north. Total freezing rain amounts: 2 to 10 mm. Total rainfall amounts: 10 to 25 mm, highest along the Straits. Maximum wind gusts: southeast to southwesterly 60 to 80 km/h, except 100 along parts of the coast in the southeast. Locations: coastal Labrador. Time span: late Thursday until Saturday. Remarks: Precipitation will begin as snow, transitioning through ice pellets and freezing rain to rain as temperatures rise above zero. Precipitation may remain as freezing precipitation over areas to the north of Makkovik, which may allow higher snowfall totals or more significant freezing rain and ice pellet accumulations. Significant snowmelt and runoff are possible.
