Locations: southern, eastern, and northeastern Newfoundland. Time span: overnight tonight through Sunday. Remarks: After the winds subside over the Avalon Peninsula on Sunday there is a chance that southern parts of the Avalon Peninsula could see southwesterly winds strengthen with gusts to 100 km/h again Sunday night. This will be dependent on the eventual track of the storm. ### Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
