weather advisory in effect Heavy lake effect flurries off of Lake Superior expected to begin tonight. Hazards: Local snowfall accumulations near 10 cm. Reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow. Timing: Tonight and early Saturday morning. Discussion: Southwesterly winds will bring lake effect flurries, heavy at times, across the region later tonight and possibly into Saturday morning. The heavy flurries will shift east of Marathon on Saturday morning. Southwesterly winds gusting up to 50 km/h could also cause local blowing snow. ### Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
