severe thunderstorm warning in effect At 3:07 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail. This severe thunderstorm is located near St. Joseph Island, moving northeast at 50 km/h. Hazard: Nickel size hail. Locations impacted include: St. Joseph Island, Lake George, Neebish, Echo Bay, Bar River, MacLennan, McCluskie Lake, Desbarats Lake, Bog Lake, Portlock, Gibboney Lake and Caribou Lake. ### Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
