special weather statement in effect Major system mid-week A strong system bringing its share of mixed precipitation will affect the province of Quebec beginning on Wednesday. First, between 10 and 15 centimetres of snow will fall starting overnight Wednesday night. Snow will then change to freezing rain on Thursday and continue for much of the day, making roads and surfaces icy.
