special weather statement in effect Major system mid-week A strong system bringing its share of mixed precipitation will affect the province of Quebec beginning on Wednesday. First, between 5 and 10 centimetres of snow will fall starting Wednesday late in the day. Snow will change to freezing rain overnight Wednesday night. Freezing precipitation could then persist until Thursday morning, making surfaces icy.
