Ponding of water is likely to occur on roads and in low lying areas. A significant rise in the flow and level of certain bodies of water is expected. In addition, winds associated with this system will be strong to high locally, especially along the coastline. Loose objects could be carried away or moved. The combination of high tides and strong southeasterly winds could produce breaking waves over the Eastern Gaspé Peninsula, Anticosti and the North Shore between Port-Cartier and Natashquan. Finally, a rapid drop in temperatures on Thursday could lead to sudden freezing of various surfaces.
