special weather statement in effect New winter storm Sunday into Monday What: Significant snowfall amounts ranging from 15 to 30 centimetres are possible. Moderate to strong winds will also generate local blowing snow. When: Sunday into Monday. Where: Southern, Central and Eastern Quebec. Additional information: A new low pressure system will track toward the province of Quebec this weekend as it intensifies. Snow at times heavy will begin Sunday morning over Southern Quebec, and will affect other areas beginning late in the day on Sunday. In some areas, this new snow will add to the snowfall amounts received this week, causing significant weight on roofs. The system's track is uncertain at this time, and could impact the expected snowfall amounts. Quickly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Be prepared for changing road conditions that deteriorate quickly.
