winter storm warning in effect Winter storm What: 15 to 25 centimetres of snow are expected with winds up to 100 kilometres per hour from the east overnight tonight, then from the southwest on Friday. Snow combined with high winds will greatly reduce visibilities. Snow may briefly change over to rain early Friday morning. When: Through Friday morning Additional information: A major low pressure system will affect Eastern Quebec and the Maritimes over the next hours. ### Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #QCStorm.
