Where: From the Ottawa Valley toward the Laurentians and Lanaudière areas. Additional information: An intense low pressure system will bring some rain over Southern Quebec. As the ground is frozen and has a reduced absorption capacity, significant quantities of water could accumulate on roads and other areas. A significant rise in the flow and level of some rivers is also possible. Following the rain, a drop in temperatures is expected overnight Wednesday night that could lead to a flash freeze of ponding water. Roads may become slippery, causing poor travel conditions and travel delays Thursday morning. In addition, the drop in temperatures will be accompanied by flurries reducing visibilities and possibly giving a few centimetres of snow locally.
