special weather statement in effect Major system mid-week A strong system bringing its share of mixed precipitation will affect the province of Quebec beginning on Wednesday. First, between 5 and 10 centimetres of snow will fall starting on Wednesday. Snow will change to freezing rain on Wednesday evening. Freezing precipitation could persist until Thursday morning, making surfaces icy.
