The water level of the river Emajõgi at the Tartu hydrometric station has reached a critical level, 254cm above zero (EH2000 32,31m). The rapid rise in water level is caused by an ice jam. Keep your distance from a flooded shore! If you step onto the ice near the shore, it may slope towards the river. There is a risk of slipping into the water.
