At night from 11.01. to 12.01.2025 heavy snowfall is expected in the most part of Latvia, locally a blizzard will occur as well, therefore in the morning of 12.01.2025 the snow depth in many places will have increased by 5-9 cm. All traffic participants are asked to be careful - parts of road will be slippery and covered with snow, and visibility during the snowfall and blizzard will decrease significantly! BE AWARE of heavy snowfall! Snowfall can hinder the movement of vehicles on the roads, as well as pedestrian movement. Visibility will be reduced during snowfall and blizzard conditions. Snowfall and wet snow deposits in certain areas can cause tree branches to break and damage power lines. Outdoor activities may be affected in certain areas. Be careful when walking, riding a bike or car.
