Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning, locally strong wind gusts around 27-33 m/s are expected from East, with strong gale at exposed locations. There will be large local variations, and some places will not experience the wind. Driving conditions will be difficult. The wind will increase first in the south, and decrease last in the north. Loose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Bridges may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads. The strong wind may cause locally high waves in fjords and lakes. Secure loose objects. Close windows and doors tightly. Make sure that gutters, scaffolding, aerials and tarpaulins are securely attached. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places. Follow advice and check status from transport operators. Check road reports (175.no). In advance consider measures to limit damage.
