Severe Thunderstorms Localised flooding of susceptible roads due to heavy downpours. Minor vehicle accidents due to slippery roads and reduced driving visibility. Localised disruptions to municipal services due to excessive lightning. Localised damage to infrastructure due to strong/damaging winds and hail. Avoid crossing flooded roads and swollen streams. Where rising water levels are observed, move to high grounds. When outdoor during lightning activity: immediately get out and away from ponds, lakes and other bodies of water, never shelter under an isolated tree and stay away from objects that conduct electricity (barbed wire fences, power lines, etc).
