Winter Weather Advisory issued November 15 at 3:02AM AKST until November 15 at 8:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Visibility reduced to one half mile. * WHERE...Thompson Pass. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 AM AKST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow and winds will continue through Friday morning. Winds are then expected to diminish in intensity, helping to limit the potential for blowing snow. Snow will continue for Thompson Pass through Friday with additional 3 to 6 inches possible. 5 to 10 inches of snow is possible for Valdez through Saturday morning. 3 to 6 inches of snow is possible along the Richardson Highway from Thompson Pass north to Tonsina.
