To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches, although locally higher amounts of up to 5 inches can not be ruled out over the southern portion of the area. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast Mississippi. * WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
