Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A strong winter low pressure system approaching will pass north of Kauai on Thursday, with a cold front advancing down the island chain Thursday through Friday. The threat of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms developing along and ahead of the front will quickly increase tonight and persist through Friday.
