Damage to unsecured structures along the lakeshore may occur, as well. Residents on or near the shore should take appropriate action to protect property from rising water levels.

Wind Advisory issued March 5 at 2:51PM CST until March 6 at 3:00AM CST by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * WHERE...Benton, Jasper, Lake IN, Newton, and Porter Counties. * WHEN...Until 3 AM CST /4 AM EST/ Thursday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
