Special Weather Statement issued January 31 at 8:32AM CST by NWS Quad Cities IA IL Widespread rainfall overnight into this morning combined with frozen ground across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois has led to some minor flooding and ponding of water in low-lying locations. Additional rainfall of a quarter to around a half inch is possible in the hardest hit areas, most likely along and south of Interstate 80. If you come across a flooded roadway, do not attempt to drive through it. Turn around and find an alternate route.
