Winter Storm Warning issued February 10 at 2:01PM CST until February 12 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 9 inches. * WHERE...A portion of north central Kansas. * WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to 6 PM CST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This snow will primarily be dry and fluffy in nature. Winds are not expected to be significant through the event. Sustained speeds peak around 15 MPH, with gusts near 20 to 25 MPH possible. Winds start out northeasterly, turning more northerly by around sunrise Wednesday. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution.
