Winter Weather Advisory issued February 20 at 1:39AM MST until February 22 at 5:00AM MST by NWS Great Falls MT * WHAT...Blowing and drifting snow expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Glacier, Western Toole, and Central Pondera Counties. * WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Blowing and drifting snow will create reductions in visibility, potential for slippery roads, and partial roadway blockages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southwest to westerly winds will begin to increase along the Rocky Mountain Front by this morning and remain strong and gusty through the remainder of the work week and into the weekend. While these winds will bring increasing temperatures, which will ultimately limit the blowing and drifting snow, there will be a window through Saturday morning for significant blowing and drifting of the current snowpack before temperatures warm sufficiently to limit the blowing and drifting. Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website.
