Winter Storm Warning issued February 4 at 1:48PM MST until February 5 at 11:00AM MST by NWS Missoula MT * WHAT...Heavy snow, blowing and drifting snow expected. Additional snowfall will range from 3 to 8 inches. * WHERE...Missoula and Bitterroot Valley. * WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...For MAJOR impacts from snow, expect considerable disruptions to normal activities. Dangerous traveling conditions. Avoid travel in the impacted areas if possible. Widespread closures and disruptions to infrastructure may occur after dark. The hazardous conditions could impact travel, especially during the Tuesday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North to east winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected. Gusts to 25 mph are possible near Hellgate Canyon. There is a 15 percent chance that freezing rain could occur in the southern Bitterroot Valley Tuesday night.
