The cities of Port Orford, Nesika Beach, Gold Beach, Cape Blanco, and Pistol River. * WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds can blow down trees and power lines and power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Be on the lookout for potential falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

Flood Watch issued March 16 at 6:07AM PDT until March 16 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Medford OR A moist atmospheric river will continue to bring periods of very heavy rainfall to the watch area through this afternoon before pushing east of the Cascades late this evening. Rain amounts of 3 to 6 inches will be common along the coast and into the Umpqua Basin, with amounts possibly exceeding 8 inches in the coastal ranges of southern Coos, Curry and western Josephine counties. Amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be common south of the Rogue-Umpqua Divide in the Upper Rogue Valley and in western Siskiyou County. In addition to the heavy rain, some snow melt could also lead to increased run off and increasing the risk for flooding. * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern California, including the following area, Western Siskiyou County and southwest Oregon, including the following areas, Central Douglas County, Curry County Coast, Eastern Curry County and Josephine County, Eastern Douglas County Foothills, Jackson County and South Central Oregon Coast. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flood Advisory issued March 16 at 7:36AM PDT until March 16 at 7:30PM PDT by NWS Medford OR * WHAT...Hydrologic flooding caused by excessive rainfall with additional landslides in steep terrain is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Douglas County and northern Coos County. * WHEN...Until 730 PM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways with elevated river or stream flows. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Additional landslides on local highways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 733 AM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Roseburg, Coos Bay, Sutherlin, Reedsport, North Bend, Winston, Coquille, Bandon, Myrtle Point, Lakeside, Drain, Yoncalla, Eagleview Campground, Tyree Campground, Umpqua, Loon Lake, Scottsburg, Winchester, Roseburg North and Camas Valley. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas.
