The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. AFFECTED AREA...Wyoming, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Southern Wayne, and Pike Counties. * WIND...Northwest 13-17 mph with gusts of 25 to 30 mph, especially over the higher terrain near the Poconos. * HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended and multiple burn bans are in place across Pennsylvania. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
