Cold Weather Advisory issued January 20 at 4:08PM EST until January 21 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Caribou ME * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 30 below expected. * WHERE...Central Piscataquis, Northern Penobscot, Southeast Aroostook, Northeast Aroostook, Northwest Aroostook, Northern Piscataquis, and Northern Somerset Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills around 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
