Cold Weather Advisory issued January 5 at 2:45PM EST until January 6 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Caribou ME * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 27 below zero expected. * WHERE...Central Piscataquis, Northwest Aroostook, Northern Piscataquis, and Northern Somerset Counties. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...These dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
