A quick inch or two of snowfall may occur along with gusty winds and very lowered visibilities Locations impacted include... Jay, Waterford, Carrying Place, Strong, Lexington, Stow, Woodstock, Mount Abram, Industry, Carthage, Lovell, Highland Plantation, Town Of Washington, Wyman, Bethel, Albany, Byron, Greenwood, Wilton, and Rumford. This also includes... Speckled Mountain, Saddleback Mountain, Sugarloaf Mountain, Crocker Mountain, and The Bigelows. * Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half mile in this area of heavy snow showers. * Sudden and brief snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible in this area of heavy snow showers.

Northern Waldo County in south central Maine... Androscoggin County in southwestern Maine... Southeastern Somerset County in west central Maine... Cumberland County in southwestern Maine... Northwestern Sagadahoc County in south central Maine... Southeastern Franklin County in western Maine... Carroll County in northern New Hampshire... * Until 930 AM EST. * At 833 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from 23 miles north of Pittsfield to Ashland, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph. SOURCE...Radar and webcams.
