At the same time relative humidity values are very low. These factors combined with the recent dry conditions are leading to elevated fire weather concerns through the afternoon and early evening. * TIMING...Saturday afternoon into early evening. * WIND...West to northwest winds of 12 to 18 miles per hour and gusting up to 25 miles per hour. * HUMIDITY...Relative humidity values will drop below 30 percent,and close to 20 percent in some locations. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or are expected to occur shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
