Flood Watch issued February 12 at 3:40AM CST until February 12 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Shreveport LA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Columbia, Lafayette and Union, Louisiana, including the following parishes, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne, De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, Union, Webster and Winn, and Texas, including the following counties, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Sabine and Shelby. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Special Weather Statement issued February 12 at 11:33AM CST by NWS Shreveport LA At 1133 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Joaquin to 7 miles northwest of Milam, or extending from 11 miles northeast of Center to 26 miles southeast of Center, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Mansfield, Milam, Many, Zwolle, Logansport, Joaquin, Converse, Patroon, Rosevine, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, Florien, Huxley, South Mansfield, Noble, Fisher, Stanley, Toledo Bend Reservoir North, Jordans Store and Pelican. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
