For the Fire Weather Watch, from Friday morning through Friday evening. * WINDS...West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph for this afternoon. For Friday, west winds 30 to 45 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will occur shortly. A combination of strong winds, low humidity and dry fuels will contribute to extreme fire behavior. A Fire Weather Watch means that there is the potential for critical fire weather conditions. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. A High Wind Watch means that dangerously strong winds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or higher are possible. Winds this strong would bring a threat to life and possibly cause property damage. Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
