For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 19. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Take steps now to finish protecting cold sensitive plants and crops. Frost and freeze conditions could damage crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Sensitive outdoor plants may be damaged by frost if left uncovered. Rush to completion prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
