Red Flag Warning issued March 14 at 5:15PM CDT until March 14 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Shreveport LA ...A RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR CRITICAL TO EXTREME FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR MCCURTAIN COUNTY OKLAHOMA, ADJACENT PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, AND MUCH OF NORTHEAST TEXAS... * AFFECTED AREA...McCurtain County in Southeast Oklahoma, portions of Southwest Arkansas north of Interstate 30, and portions of East Texas north and west of a line from Texarkana to Rusk Texas. * TIMING...Through 9 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...25 to 30 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Low to mid 80s, with isolated upper 80s possible. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
