Special Weather Statement issued January 2 at 3:08PM EST by NWS Jackson KY A brief round of light to moderate snow will impact the area Friday morning, generally lasting 1 to 3 hours for most areas. Accumulations will generally be one-half inch or less, with localized higher accumulations to 1 inch. While elevated and grassy surfaces are most likely to be impacted, a few locations may see brief slushy conditions on roads. Snow will taper off to light snow showers or flurries by midday, and possibly linger into the evening before completely ending.
