Flood Advisory issued February 7 at 3:34AM EST until February 7 at 5:30AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Mercer and Summers. * WHEN...Until 530 AM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 334 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Creek, Blacklick Creek, Beaver Branch, Brush Creek, Camp Creek, Bolars Fork, Big Branch and Buffalo Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Princeton... Hinton... Athens... Matoaka... Pipestem... Camp Creek...
